If there are two things we can be thankful for as a result of the week-long SEPTA strike, it's that 1, their buses weren't running to come and cut grooves all through the newly repaved South, Lombard and 22nd Streets in the philly skyline neighborhood, and more importantly 2, they chose perhaps the most consistently beautiful week of the year to leave people to their own devices. Seize this opportunity I did. Hiking and biking through the city, the fall colors rained down like so many kaleidoscopic flashbacks.

Chestnut Hill and the Wissahickon; Pennypack Park; West Philly and UPenn; Society Hill, Center City and the eponymous Philly skyline: this is fall in Philadelphia. Photos are 800x600 again because I like 'em.
